How to Configure Google Alerts

SUMMARY

Do you find yourself searching Google on a regular basis to find the latest information on the same topics? How would you like Google to automate the searching for you, then notify you via email the instant new information is found?

That is what Google Alerts is all about.

BACKGROUND

Google revolutionized the search for information. But the problem remains that information grows at a geometric rate. The real-world result of this is that you and I may spend more and more time each day searching for new information or data on our topic(s) of interest. Leaving less and less time for us to use that information to get our mission accomplished.

Fortunately for us, Google has automated the process with Google Alerts.

WHAT ARE GOOGLE ALERTS

Google Alerts are automated searches performed on your behalf. When a new entry in the Google crawler database matches your search criteria, an email is sent to you with a link to the new web page, image, database, music, etc. This means that if you use Google on a regular basis to search for the same topics, you can now just say no!

HOW TO SETUP GOOGLE ALERTS
